Guess I forgot to mention I posted some pictures of AJ on our site under her own folder.  You may also notice a new look to the photo page, the other layout just wasn’t working so I changed it.  :)

Baby Goff is here!  As predicted by most of their friends, she is a girl.  :)   Her name is Anita Jeryl (AJ for short) and she was born this morning at 2:15.  Meggan was a real trooper and is very excited to have her little girl here, and is certainly happy not to be pregnant anymore!  :)   Scott is quite the proud papa, that little one already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.  They are doing great and settling into a lack of sleep quite well.  It was wonderful to meet Ethan’s new little friend!  Scott said they can play together for a few years but warned Ethan to stay away once they hit the teen years.  :)   It’s amazing to look at her, then at Ethan, and try to picture him that size.  He’s grown so much over the past 5 months!

Ethan is doing well, he’s finally figured out how to roll onto his belly and does that frequently.  He gets stuck there though and it makes him mad.  :)   He’s starting to scoot around on the floor, but he can only go backwards right now!   It’s kind of funny, he gets further away from whatever he’s trying to reach, which also makes him mad.  :)   He’s eating solids much better.  I learned the dangers of the sneeze while eating squash today though, not fun.  He wasn’t very interested in the new baby, though in his defense it was getting pretty late in the day for him.  He experienced his first trip to the nursery last Sunday during church and he did great.  It was so nice to sit through an entire service in the sanctuary!

Ryan’s schedule has changed a bit.  He’ll be working Wed – Sat so he’ll be home Sun – Tues.  We’ll see how that goes!  It will be nice for him to have little more time home with Ethan, and it’ll be nice for me to be able to leave Ethan home while I go to the store!

Eating solids

Posted by bernadette, in News

Hi all!  I posted a few new pictures this evening.  Ethan is upstairs getting ready for bed, his daddy is reading his bedtime story.  He’s eating solids better now, thanks Theresa!  He eats his veggies much better with the fruit mixed in.  There’s not much else going on here, Ryan only has 2 classes left, and we are finally really close to being done in the basement.  Accomplishing both of those tasks will go a long way towards freeing up some time and stress!

Happy Birthday!

Posted by bernadette, in News

Happy Birthday to you,

happy birthday to you,

happy birthday dear Brianna, Audrey, dad, Nick, and Will,

Happy birthday to you!

Well, it’s been a busy couple of weeks. Ethan has started eating more cereal and experienced peas for the first time last night. Can’t say he was real thrilled with the experience, but he did eat a few mouthfuls. He’s finally sleeping and eating better since our vacation, I had no idea it was going to throw him off that much. We got his highchair set up in the kitchen, it’s so nice to have a seat for him in there while I’m working on dinner or dishes. He of course likes the tot it came with. :) We (meaning Ryan) installed his new car seat last night. It’s much more roomy and he really likes it. He just didn’t fit in his infant seat anymore and was just too heavy to carry around in it anyway. He’s finally discovered his feet and likes to try to get them into his mouth. I don’t leave his socks off much though and he doesn’t really like to chew on those. He sits up really well and enjoys playing with his piano toys that Melissa gave him. Anything that makes noise and lights up works for him! I still continue to be surprised at how fast he’s growing. I recently put away most of his 6-9 month clothes and started him on his 9 month stuff. I didn’t expect him to be in those so quickly!  He’s also wearing some really cute shoes I got him a while ago.  He likes the lights on his basketball shoes.  We’re still working on rolling over, he’s just not too interested since he can see pretty much whatever he wants just laying on his side.

Ryan’s been working really hard at Ball.  They are doing a lot of testing on their project right now so he’s been really busy.  He finds out about a couple of big projects in a few months so definitely keep praying for those, they really need the new work.  His classes started up again too, only 2 more to go and he’ll be done!!!  We’re attempting to finish the moulding in the basement this weekend.  Then I can work on the staining (yea, me) and we can get the carpet done.  I know I’ve said it before but we’ll be very glad when this project is done.  Then we’ll have a great area for people to stay in!  And a nice big area for Ethan to play in that won’t need much babyproofing since it doesn’t have any furniture yet.  :)   Well, a little one woke up from his snooze, gotta go spring him from his playpen!

Christmas pictures

Posted by bernadette, in News

Hey all!  I hope you all had a great Christmas.  We had a lot of fun travelling back East to see our families, it’s always good to see everyone.  I think every time Ethan woke up he had new people to meet!  We had a pretty good travelling experience overall, aside from someone stealing our video camera out of our luggage at the airport.  :(   But Ethan did really well on the planes.  It’s amazing how cute people think a baby is until they have to be on a plane with one!  The second flight was fairly full but we used him as a shield to keep a seat empty in our row.  :)   I know he is glad to be back home in his own bed.

I posted a bunch of new pictures today.  I rearranged the folders slightly since Ethan’s was getting huge so now when you go to the photo page you’ll see Ethan as an entire category which is then divided into 2 folders, one for 2007 and one for 2008.  There are new pictures in 2007 and 2008.  You’ll also find a seperate album for Christmas, that has the most new pictures in it.

He is getting over his cold that he brought home with him, and also the crankiness that came with the cold.  :)   We started him on rice cereal yesterday, and he’s doing pretty well with it.  He’s still not sure what he’s supposed to do with it but I think most of it is going down.  :)

I should be posting some more basement pictures soon.  We ordered the carpet on Monday so that should be in by the end of the month.  We also ordered the wet bar cabinets which should be here by next week.  Ryan is working on the moulding this week, he was able to do the door casings yesterday.  We will be so relieved to that project done!

I think that’s about all for now, we all continue to do well.  Email me whenever you get a chance!  Happy New Year!
