Not long now!

Hey all, only 3 1/2 weeks until the baby is due!  I must say that I am ready, I think just 1-2 more weeks would be fine with me!  I am really glad the weather has cooled off a bit.  I do have more pictures to post, I just need Ryan to show me how.  :)

The basement is coming along really well.  Ryan has finished most of the insulation, it will all be done by Friday and then we have people coming in to do the drywall so hopefully that will be all done by the time the baby gets here.  Our parents should have a room with walls to stay in, but I make no promises that the plumbing will be done.  :)   Ryan has been working extremely hard and I really appreciate all of it!

Congrats to our friends Sean and Sarah on the birth of their twin girls Morgan and Taylor earlier this week!  I can’t imagine two at a time right now!  And congrats to Amy on finally being able to pick up her daughter Samantha from Guatemala!

Not working anymore…

Hey all!  It’s been a while since we updated this so I just wanted to blog a bit since I’m home now.  My last day at the clinic was June 29th so now I’m officially a stay-at-home mom.  :)   I’m really enjoying it thus far, I love not waking up to an alarm clock and I really don’t miss the drive into Denver!  I do miss my co-workers, clients, and patients though.  I really can’t imagine continuing to work for much longer though as the belly was really starting to get in my way when examining patients or trying to do surgery!  I wasn’t sure how I was going to keep myself occupied at home, but I’m finding plenty of things to do, lots of little things I haven’t been able to keep up with and preparations for the baby.  The baby is doing very well, he’s growing and kicking and definately getting stronger!  We finally got all the extra furniture out of his room last night so I can start getting the nursery put together.  The basement is coming along well, we passed our first inspection (YEAH!!!) so now we can put up the insulation and get to drywalling.  We really want to have the drywall up and the bathroom installed before the baby comes and especially before his grandparents come to visit!  So if you live in the area be prepared for a drywall party sometime in the near future!  :)   Anyway, we’ll try to get some more pictures posted soon and keep everyone updated!  Love, Bernadette
